Practice Support Associates
Practice management services are offered through the “Practice Support Associates” division of the AHEC. In an effort to support the retention of providers in rural and underserved areas, services are priced below the usual market rate. In addition to billing, professionals offer consultation with respect to reimbursement, fee schedules, fiscal management, contract review, strategic planning, CPT Evaluation & Management coding education, office policy and procedure development, HIPAA compliance and others. Staff is up to date on current law and regulation, insurance practices, billing and collections. They work to educate the provider and alleviate the strain of developing and maintaining a fiscally sound practice.
In addition to these services, we have also been able to assist others with background information in the creation of various practice models including fee for service or free-standing, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or FQHC Look-alike efforts.
