Club
The goal of this guide is to help you
plan, develop, implement, and sustain your own health care
career club using the math and science enrichment curriculum BrainLink©. |
The NW PA AHEC presents a new
health care career model for student learning, the Teen-Med Club
program. Teen-Med Club fosters interest in health careers
through a dynamic schedule of activities that will help students
remain excited about careers in health, improve academic readiness for
health career programs, grow as a professional and have a sense of
community belonging.
This
guide includes Wheel of Fortune© and Medical Dilemmas©!
NW PA AHEC has included
these programs on multimedia format and overhead transparencies
| Wheel
of Fortune© is a fun way to begin discussions on
a variety of health care careers. The goal of Wheel
of Fortune© is to show students how to make good
decisions for their future by discussing their chance career
after spinning the career wheel. |
Medical
Dilemmas© lets students investigate what will
happen when they are faced with a medical dilemma.
Students must use role-playing techniques to work as a team and
discuss the ethical and moral issues on how to protect their
community. |
This guide also
includes: 12-week schedule of activities,
additional activity ideas and resources, miscellaneous samples,
pre-program survey, evaluation, supply purchasing information,
and contact information. |
