Wheel of Future^© Description

·         Student volunteers spin the "future wheel" for a chance selection of
health careers.
 

·         Through class discussion and visuals, the students and presenter
compare the job descriptions, educational backgrounds, and expected
pay ranges of a variety of health careers.
 

·         Using a visual aid and class volunteers, the presenter illustrates how
quickly a minimum wage salary is depleted.   
 

Presentation Objectives

·         Students will increase their knowledge of health career opportunities.
 

·         Students will gain an understanding in education levels as related to
expected annual salaries.
 

·         Students will be able to identify several study skills and/or learning
behaviors that increase their success in meeting career goals.
 

·         Students will be aware of the NW PA AHEC services and contact us for
further health career exploration interests.
